Job description

Our client is a private equity firm. They seek a Human Resources Operations Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard and offboard new employees, coordinating with external HR partners
  • Work with PEO and other benefit providers, including semi-monthly payroll runs
  • Execute all employee termination procedures by ensuring all access is removed
  • Process leaves of absence, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
  • Maintain employee files, payroll records, and all other employment-related records
  • Oversee the payroll process by running semi-monthly payroll and annual bonuses
  • Administer and manage benefit plans, including liaising with brokers and providers
  • Respond to general employee inquiries on employment, benefits, company policies, etc.
  • Support compliance efforts by staying current on employment laws and policies
  • Update the employee handbook, travel policy, and other HR documents

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
  • 8+ years of HR experience
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
