Role Description
Human Resources
- Facilitating onboarding paperwork and tasks with digital platforms, including:
- Healthcare, 401k and other benefits enrollment
- Training Certifications
- Direct Deposit and verification
- Background checks, E-Verify, and reference reviews
- DOT requirements
- Maintain library of new hire paperwork
- Create and maintain benefits information for prospective employees
- Manage recruiting for new positions (including job description development, advertisements, job fairs, initial screenings, interview scheduling, offer letters, etc.)
- Manage employment verifications, unemployment and worker’s compensation paperwork
- Set up mobile devices, computers, workstations, software log-ins and other employee tools
- Manage all employee benefits and benefits payments (401k, health, per diem)
- Manage the random and DOT Drug test programs
- Annual review of DMV records
- Maintain all administrative documents with up-to-date information
- Keep contact lists/databases current and communicate to others
- Process termination paperwork and tasks (exit data sheet, Cobra Letter, etc.)
- Develop and manage internship and apprentice programs
- Manage labor policies and postings such as EEO, sexual harassment, and job bulletin boards
- Create and maintain a periodic company newsletter
- Setup employee lunches and social team building events
Office Administration
- Handling all purchasing of office supplies
- Back-up for Front Desk duties such as answer phone and front door
- Monitor and manage insurance claims
- Support the Safety program (create documents, edit manuals, etc.)
- Monitor and manage the EZ pass, gas card and credit card programs
- Manage 3rd party IT firm, Verizon wireless account, and other subscriptions
- Order marketing materials and logo’d gear
- Take the lead on event planning and execution (approx. 2-3 times per year)
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Human Resources (HR), including HR Management and understanding of best practices
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective HR Policies
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer Service expertise to maintain positive professional relationships
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain a well-organized office environment
- Previous experience in the construction or related industries is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred

Pay Range $55,000.00 - $75,000.00
