Job summary

Acloché LLC in the greater Knoxville area seeks an HR Manager to lead two HR Generalists/Recruiters in a trucking/transportation division employing 450+ drivers and staff. The role oversees driver background checks, pre-employment medical screenings, and DOT physicals, with significant involvement in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new drivers.

The HR Manager will develop and maintain employee benefits and create new programs focused on retention, development, and training.

Qualifications

• BS degree and PHR or SPHR certification are required.
• Experience with FMCSA Compliance and Driver Qualification files is required.
• Previous experience in Truck Driving / Transportation industry or related Logistics field is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead two HR Generalists/Recruiters across multiple sites.
• Coordinate and ensure Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screenings, and DOT Physicals are compliant.
• Conduct interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding of new drivers.

Job description

Major corporation in the greater Knoxville TN area has immediate opening for an HR Manager in their Trucking / Transportation division employing 450+ truck drivers and support personnel including terminal managers, dispatchers, routers, driver supervisors, etc. The HR Manager will lead two HR Generalists / Recruiters. This is a multi-site role, but travel is not significant.

The HR Manager will ensure Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screenings, and DOT Physicals are coordinated and in compliance. Will be heavily involved in interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding new drivers.

The HR Manager will also maintain employee benefit programs in addition to developing new programs focusing on retention, employee development, and training.

Qualified candidates will have BS degree along with PHR or SPHR certification. Experience with FMCSA Compliance and Driver Qualification files is required. Must have previous experience in Truck Driving / Transportation industry or related Logistics field.
