Qualifications

• BS degree required; PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Experience with FMCSA compliance and Driver Qualification files required.
• Experience in Truck Driving/Transportation or related logistics field.
• Leads HR Generalists/Recruiters and coordinates driver-related processes.

Responsibilities

Job description

Major corporation in the greater Knoxville TN area has immediate opening for an HR Manager in their Trucking / Transportation division employing 450+ truck drivers and support personnel including terminal managers, dispatchers, routers, driver supervisors, etc. The HR Manager will lead two HR Generalists / Recruiters. This is a multi-site role, but travel is not significant.

The HR Manager will ensure Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screenings, and DOT Physicals are coordinated and in compliance. Will be heavily involved in interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding new drivers.

The HR Manager will also maintain employee benefit programs in addition to developing new programs focusing on retention, employee development, and training.

Qualified candidates will have BS degree along with PHR or SPHR certification. Experience with FMCSA Compliance and Driver Qualification files is required . Must have previous experience in Truck Driving / Transportation industry or related Logistics field.
