Rehab of Polk County in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead talent strategies in a post-acute care setting.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of HR management experience, with strong knowledge of personnel laws and compliance.

The role handles recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, employee relations, and disciplinary actions, reporting to the Facility Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience with demonstrated success in human resource management.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning personnel administration in post-acute care settings.

Responsabilités

• Checks applications and references for prospective employees and arranges interviews.
• Maintains job applications for personnel eligible to work in the facility.
• Conducts employee background checks in accordance with facility policy.
• Develops and implements a facility plan for recruitment, selection, and training of competent personnel.
• Hires personnel in accordance with the facility’s hiring practices and conducts onboarding.
• Maintains personnel record filing system that meets the facility’s needs and compliance.
• Assists with scheduling work hours, personnel, assignments, vacations, etc.
• Maintains attendance records and records of counseling, warning, and disciplinary actions.
• Terminates employees with documentation and coordination with the Department Director and Administrator.
• Reviews time cards for accuracy.
• Reviews and processes payroll for the facility.

• Terminates employees when necessary, ensuring documentation and coordination of such actions with the Department Director and Administrator.
