The ideal candidate is interested in joining as a part-time contractor (20 hours per week to start), with interest in scaling up hours over time, and is open to consideration to become a full-time contractor or employee in the future.

Position Overview

As the Human Resources Manager at Naked & Thriving, you will be responsible for managing key HR functions, including:

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Culture Support

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and contractors, addressing HR inquiries, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on company policies.
  • Support the implementation of engagement initiatives such as employee recognition programs and professional development resources.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including feedback cycles and employee growth and training initiatives.
  • Act as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all HR processes.

Hiring Process Management

  • Manage coordination of the hiring and selection process - liaising with hiring managers as candidates move through the interview process and hiring pipeline.

Onboarding

  • Oversee and improve the onboarding experience, ensuring new hires receive proper training, system access, and clear expectations.

HR Compliance & Policy Coordination

  • Ensure HR policies comply with U.S. federal and state employment laws while supporting best practices for managing international contractors.
  • Maintain and update the Employee Handbook and work with Finance and Legal to ensure compliance with applicable labor regulations.
  • Preserve confidentiality and manage sensitive employee information with integrity.

Payroll & Benefits Coordination

  • Work with Finance & Operations to ensure smooth execution of payroll, bonuses, and benefits administration for U.S. employees.
  • Support international contractors by providing structured payment guidance and contract benefits.

Offboarding

  • Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews, compliance documentation, and system access revocation.

HR Technology & Process Efficiency

  • Utilize HR tools to support recruitment, onboarding, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance HR workflows and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a fast growing, remote-first, eCommerce, or global environment.
  • Possess excellent communication, mediation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating with leadership on HR-related initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing both U.S. employees and contractors.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, payroll coordination, and employment laws across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience with HR tools and remote collaboration platforms (Slack & Asana).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate diverse cultures and time zones.

Compensation

The starting compensation range for this position (based on a part-time, 20 per hour work week) is $36,000 - $40,000.

If hours were to increase to full-time, either as a contractor or an employee, the salary range is $72,000 - $80,000.

Any increase in hours between 20 hours and 40 hours per week, would lead to commensurate compensation increases in line with the numbers above.
