HR Manager - Technology Services | San Antonio, TX

We are partnering with a growing, approximately $100M technology services company in San Antonio, TX, seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee day-to-day human resources operations and serve as a trusted partner to leadership. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will manage payroll, recruiting and sourcing, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations while ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional with strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee matters with maturity, discretion, and professionalism. This role requires someone who can independently manage the full employee lifecycle, navigate complex personnel situations, and build effective relationships with employees and leadership in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Experience supporting a growing organization, along with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Payroll & Benefits Administration: Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, employee inquiries, and coordination with external providers to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
• Recruiting & Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle recruiting, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and hiring efforts in partnership with department leaders.
• Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle: Coordinate new-hire onboarding, benefits enrollment, employment documentation, and employee setup to ensure a seamless transition into the organization.
• Employee Relations: Handle sensitive personnel matters, employee concerns, performance issues, and workplace conflicts with sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism.
• HR Compliance & Policies: Maintain HR policies, personnel records, and employment documentation while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Leadership Support: Partner with the CFO and company leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, organizational needs, and HR-related initiatives.
• Process Improvement: Develop and refine HR processes, systems, and procedures to support operational efficiency and the company's continued growth.

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a small to midsize or growing organization.
• Experience managing payroll, benefits, recruiting, and onboarding.
• Strong employee relations skills and the maturity to navigate sensitive or complex workplace situations.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
