Join Our Team at Christ Church!

At Christ Church, every role matters because every team member matters. When you join our staff, you're not just accepting a position — you're stepping into a calling where your work impacts lives and supports our mission of “Uniting People to God and People to People.”

We're looking for our next Human Resources Manager — a strategic, people-focused, and mission-driven leader who is passionate about building strong teams, creating a thriving workplace culture, and helping people reach their full potential.

If you love developing people, partnering with leaders, solving challenges, and creating an environment where employees feel valued and supported, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for!

Why You'll Love Working Here

As our Human Resources Manager, you'll have the opportunity to shape the employee experience and strengthen the culture of Christ Church and its affiliated ministries.

This isn't just about managing HR processes — it's about investing in people who make ministry happen.

You'll work alongside a collaborative, mission-focused leadership team, influence important organizational decisions, and help create a workplace where employees feel equipped, encouraged, and empowered to succeed.

Here, your HR expertise has a greater purpose. When our people thrive, our ministry thrives!

What You'll Do

As the Human Resources Manager, you'll lead and strengthen the HR function across Christ Church, focusing on seven key areas: HR Leadership, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Benefits & HR Operations, Performance Management, Compliance, and Employee Care.

Here's How You'll Make An Impact
  • Lead HR Strategy & Operations: Lead the HR function, partnering with Executive Leadership to establish priorities, strengthen policies and processes, support workforce planning, and align HR initiatives with organizational goals and responsible financial stewardship.
  • Attract & Retain Great People: Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding while building a positive employee experience that encourages engagement and retention.
  • Build a Thriving Workplace Culture: Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, helping navigate workplace challenges, strengthen communication, and foster a healthy, accountable, Christ-centered environment.
  • Support Benefits, Payroll & HR Systems: Collaborate with Finance and external partners to support employee benefits, retirement programs, payroll processes, and efficient HR operations.
  • Develop Employees & Leaders: Guide performance management, coaching, training, and professional development initiatives that help individuals and teams grow.
  • Champion Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee HR compliance, strengthen policies and practices, maintain accurate and confidential employee records, and proactively address employment-related risks to protect employees and the organization.
  • Lead with Care & Purpose: Partner with ministry leaders, pastors, and employee care resources to create a supportive workplace where compassion, integrity, and accountability go hand in hand.
Why This Role Matters

Behind every thriving ministry is a team of people who feel supported, valued, and equipped to serve.

As the Human Resources Manager, you'll help build that foundation. Your leadership will shape how we attract talent, develop leaders, care for employees, and strengthen our organizational culture.

You'll do more than lead HR — you'll help create a workplace where people flourish and ministry moves forward.

What We’re Looking For

Christ Church seeks a candidate who is a committed follower of Jesus Christ and whose personal values align with our mission, vision, and beliefs. The successful candidate will actively support the ministry of Christ Church and be open to pursuing membership as part of becoming fully engaged in the life of our church family.

  • Strong background in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, HR compliance, and employee engagement.
  • Experience leading HR initiatives in a growing or multi-department organization.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, Finance, and external HR partners.
