The Human Resources Manager is responsible for administering and managing theHuman Resources operation, as well as meeting established financial expectations and qu ality standards. This includes keeper of the c ulture, associate r elations, recruiting, training & d evelopment, and a dministration
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all resort policies/procedures/standards
- Resolve internal guests (associates) grievances ensuring satisfaction
- Ensure high standards of personal appearance and grooming of staff
- Design and update training materials, manuals, job aids, and SOPs to ensure consistency and clarity across departments.
- Support compliance training, including harassment and human trafficking prevention, safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience developing HR policies and employee engagement programs
- Provide guidance to managers in coaching, counseling and disciplinary actions
- Expert knowledge of government regulations pertaining to HR – Wage & Hour, record keeping, etc.
- Oversees annual compliance internal audits, associate engagement surveys and national certifications
- Develop and maintain all communication to associates
- Oversee and work with HR Coordinator in administration of UKG data entry
- Oversee Performance Management and ensure performance evaluations are conducted in a timely manner for all associates
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding of new hires
- Assist with new hire employee orientation
- Assists with coordinat ing associate engagement events
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by supervisor based on requirements/needs of the resort:
- Participate in strategic planning including staffing, training and financial objectives
- Attend monthly departmental meetings and daily line ups to enhance quality training
- Assist with recruitment and interviewing, if necessary
- Assist in all other HR generalist duties as assigne d
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources , Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Certifications
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 -5 years in a Human Resources role.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of employment practices and applicable labor laws.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience and/or knowledge of hotel business preferred but not required .
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows and with the ability to learn HRIS systems
- Fluency in English . Other languages are a plus.
- Ability to understand quality management practices and teaches others.
- Team Oriented
- Work with little to no supervision
- Strong decision making and good judgment skills
- Proper telephone etiquette
Miscellaneous Skills
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, required
- HotSOS , Revinate , UKG (HRIS) , iCIMS (ATS), Birchstreet , Benefit Hub, and Leapsome knowledge, preferred
Compensation
Base Pay Start Rate: $73,000 - $76,000/Yr. + Bonus!
