Role Description

The Manager – Human Resources is responsible for overseeing the work of the Human Resources team; fostering a positive, respectful, and legally compliant workplace culture. The Manager – Human Resources leads employee relations initiatives, advises managers on performance and workplace issues, conducts investigations, resolves employee concerns, and ensures consistent application of company policies. Finally, the Manager – Human Resources partners with leadership to improve employee engagement, reduce workplace risk, and support organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human resource management or a related field or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification; possession of both credentials strongly preferred.


• 5+ years of employee relations experience, including e xperience conducting workplace investigations.


• 5+ years of general HR experience with a combination of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits and HRIS in a diverse, multidisciplinary environment.


• 2+ years of supervisor experience required.


• Knowledge of HR compliance, including employment laws, regulations, and HR policy development and implementation.


• Must possess basic computer skills to perform job duties including desktop computing, e-mail, time sheet management, reporting, internet research, etc. using relevant software such as HRIS, Microsoft 365, etc.


• Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.


• Strong skillsets cultural competence, attention to detail, customer service, time management, autonomy, problem solving and organization.


• Previous HR experience in healthcare, community health, or nonprofit organizations is highly beneficial.
