Role Description

This full‑time, on‑site Human Resources Manager role is based in Owensboro, KY. The Human Resources Manager will oversee day‑to‑day HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, and policy administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR & Organizational Development strategies and initiatives aligned with the organizational goals and business strategy.
• Establish and administer workforce planning, recruitment, development, and retention strategies.
• Oversee and manage onboarding, mentorship, and training of new hires ensuring Team Members are set up for success.
• Lead company compliance efforts and establish processes to ensure fairness, consistency, and legal compliance.
• Coach and advise management and HR members on HR related issues and investigations.
• Manage the recruitment and selection process to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
• Design and implement a development strategy, including succession planning, to support company and Team Member growth.
• Develop and manage pathways for leadership development and training.
• Conduct training needs analysis and implement training to supplement identified needs, ranging from legal compliance such as ADA to soft leadership skills such as communication.
• Lead, support, and develop the Human Resources and Organizational Development teams.
• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system and succession plan that drives high performance.
• Utilize and share key Human Resources and Organizational Development metrics to support organizational decisions.
• Collaborate with working group teams to improve and streamline the strategy of all Toyotetsu North America locations.
• Foster a positive working environment and promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in core HR functions such as employee relations, performance management, and HR policy administration.
• Knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead HR initiatives, support organizational change, and collaborate effectively with management and frontline team members.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems, data analysis, and MS Office tools for reporting and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
• Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and training coordination; prior HR management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in Owensboro, KY, and adapt to a fast‑paced manufacturing setting while maintaining attention to detail.
