Job Summary
Under the direction of senior management, the role manages the full life cycle recruiting process for openings across all areas of the company. Responsibilities include workforce planning, succession planning in conjunction with other HR areas, negotiating vendor contracts, coordinating contract personnel, developing and managing internship programs, coordinating recruiting materials, and implementing process improvements. The position prepares employment and advertising budgets, schedules expenditures, and monitors all hiring metrics to ensure progress toward corporate goals. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment law by studying legislation, anticipating new requirements, enforcing adherence, and advising senior management on necessary actions. It recruits, screens, interviews, and recommends external and internal candidates for management and executive roles, including recruiting from colleges, technical schools, and job fairs. The position supports the organization’s overall business strategy through effective human resources management.
Location: DENSO Maryville, TN manufacturing facility (100% on-site).
Responsibilities
- Manages the operational and personnel activities of the talent acquisition function of Human Resources and monitors daily work assignments, project plans, and development of subordinates.
- Develops and secures approval of goals, objectives, and measures for the talent acquisition function and ensures they comply with overall division and organizational strategy.
- Communicates and is accountable for meeting talent acquisition needs, advising executive management on planning and strategy.
- Develops, reviews, and communicates policies, procedures, and processes for the talent acquisition function.
- Monitors and is responsible for achieving all hiring metrics to ensure progress toward corporate goals and objectives.
- Sources, recruits, screens, interviews, and recommends external and/or internal candidates for management and executive jobs.
- Supports personnel in developing individual goals and objectives, and provides coaching, support, and assessment to talent.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Strong capability to use Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at an OEM or Tier 1 Supplier.
- Demonstrated experience with positive employee relations, administering discipline, and performance improvement.
- Experience with talent management processes (e.g., talent review, performance management, succession planning, career development, and training).
- Six Sigma certification and/or PDCA experience highly desirable.
- Experience working with Oracle.
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of current talent acquisition best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of current employment laws and regulations, including visa and other work authorization requirements for non-citizen personnel.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; skillful presenter capable of interpreting complex information and explaining it clearly.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to approach business relationships as partnerships.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve difficult, sensitive situations while maintaining professionalism.

- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to define objectives, identify stakeholders, plan steps, and coordinate resources to achieve goals.

- Ability to apply process improvement planning and checking to own work output and assist others in identifying gaps.

Annual Salary: $110,000 – $138,000
