Mohr Talent is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee HR operations across multiple facilities in the Newark area. You will partner with management and employees on employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, recruitment, HRIS, and payroll processes.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to manage and support HR operations across multiple facilities. This individual will serve as a key HR partner to management and employees, providing hands‑on support across employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, recruitment, HR systems, and general HR operations.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in an HR management or leadership capacity. Experience within the food and beverage industry is strongly preferred, with broader manufacturing or production experience also considered.
This is a highly visible, hands‑on HR position requiring strong knowledge of New Jersey employment and labor laws, experience supporting multiple facilities, and fluency in both English and Spanish.
While the position does not currently have direct reports, there is potential to build and lead an HR team as the organization continues to grow.
Serve as the primary HR liaison for assigned facilities, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
Partner closely with management to align HR practices with operational goals and workforce needs.
Implement and consistently administer HR policies and procedures across multiple locations.
Manage key HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, workers' compensation, employee relations, and performance management.
Conduct I-9 audits and ensure compliance with federal employment eligibility requirements.
Address employee concerns, mediate workplace conflicts, and support a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with particular emphasis on New Jersey employment regulations.
Conduct new-hire orientations and facilitate employee and management training programs.
Partner with recruiting teams and hiring managers to identify, select, and onboard talent.
Support benefits administration, payroll processes, and HRIS systems.
Monitor HR metrics and use data to identify opportunities to improve HR operations and organizational performance.
Partner with HR leadership on workplace investigations, employee relations matters, and engagement initiatives.
Coach and advise managers on employee performance, workplace issues, and HR best practices.
Coordinate technical and nontechnical training for supervisors and employees.
Support diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives.
Handle sensitive employee information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Perform additional HR responsibilities as needed.
7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
2+ years of HR management or leadership experience.
Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
Experience supporting HR operations across multiple facilities or locations.
Food and beverage industry experience strongly preferred; manufacturing or production experience will also be considered.
Strong knowledge of New Jersey labor and employment laws.
Strong background in employee relations, compliance, investigations, and performance management.
Hands‑on experience with HRIS platforms and payroll administration.
Experience with onboarding, offboarding, leave management, workers' compensation, and I-9 compliance.
Strong communication, coaching, conflict‑resolution, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels of an organization.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive HR matters.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to support multiple facilities and competing priorities.
Ability to travel to a nearby secondary facility approximately 1–2 times per month.
Willingness to travel internationally approximately 2–4 times per year, as business needs require.
Flexibility for occasional weekend support when necessary.
