Job summary

Spectrum Quartz is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead payroll, recruiting, onboarding and HR compliance in Cranbury, NJ. This is a full-time, single-person HR department role that requires hands-on ADP Workforce Now experience.

You will manage benefits, employee relations, investigations, and HR records, ensure multi-state compliance and accurate ADP data. A Bachelor's degree in business administration is preferred; SHRM-CP/PHR is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on HR Generalist experience.
• ADP Workforce Now (WFN) experience required.
• Payroll processing experience required.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, workplace investigations, benefits, and workers’ compensation.
• Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and HR compliance.
• SHRM-CP, PHR or similar HR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and timely using ADP Workforce Now.
• Ensure multi-state compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting, including postings, screening, interviews, offers, and pre-employment requirements.
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding, documentation, I-9s, benefits enrollment, and HRIS updates.
• Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers.
• Handle employee relations matters, including performance issues and investigations.
• Conduct and document workplace investigations.
• Administer benefits enrollment, life events, open enrollment, and inquiries.
• Maintain HR policies, handbooks, personnel files, and employment documentation.
• Manage leaves of absence and workers’ compensation claims.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually

This is a single-person HR department responsible for payroll, recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, workplace investigations, benefits, HR policies and multi-state compliance, and workers’ compensation.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage leaves of absence and related documentation.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims, including reporting, documentation, carrier coordination, and return-to-work follow-up.
• Maintainaccurateemployee information and HR records in ADP Workforce Now.
• Handleadditionalday-to-day HR responsibilities as needed.

You'reA Great Fit If You Have:

• 3–5+ years of hands-on HR Generalist experience.
• ADP Workforce Now (WFN) experiencerequired.
• Payroll processing experiencerequired.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, workplace investigations, benefits, and workers’ compensation.
• Working knowledge of federal andmulti-state employment laws and HR compliance.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, andmaintainconfidentiality.
• Experience working as a sole HR professional or in a small HR department preferred.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification a plus.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or similar preferred

Systems: Microsoft 365, ADP WFN, HRIS software
