Job description

Human Resources Manager

Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and managing conflict resolution.
  • Act as a mediator in employee disputes and work to resolve issues in a fair, respectful manner.
  • Implement strategies to improve employee morale, engagement, and retention.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including annual reviews, feedback sessions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Provide guidance to managers on best practices for evaluating and developing their teams.
  • Work with employees and managers to set clear performance objectives.
  • Ensure the company’s HR policies are up-to-date and compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Create, communicate, and enforce company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Implement employee compensation structures, including salary benchmarking and benefits administration.
  • Collaborate with payroll and benefits administrators to ensure timely and accurate benefits delivery.
  • Manage benefits enrollment, billings, partnerships and open enrollment.
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including performance data, training logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Prepare reports for leadership, highlighting HR activities, successes, and areas for improvement.
  • Identify HR trends and make recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Drive change management initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Ideal Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict and build effective relationships.
  • Proficiency in HR software (Workday, ADP, or similar).
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
