  • Coordinate employee orientation, onboarding, and professional development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Support organizational development initiatives and HR programs.

Job description

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the administration and implementation of human resources policies, procedures, and programs that support the organization’s business objectives and workforce needs. This position serves as a key resource for employees and management, providing guidance on employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, training and development, compensation, benefits, compliance, and organizational development.

The HR Manager works closely with company leadership and department managers to foster an employee-oriented, high-performance culture focused on empowerment, quality, productivity, accountability, goal attainment, and the recruitment and continued development of a strong workforce.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
  • Administer and maintain HR policies, procedures, programs, and employee documentation.
  • Maintain the employee timekeeping system and assist with resolving discrepancies related to timekeeping, attendance, and time-off calculations.
  • Enter new hires into the timekeeping system and review new-hire paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Complete unemployment claims and related documentation.
  • Support policy development, implementation, and documentation.
  • Manage and support recruiting and staffing initiatives across the organization.
  • Coordinate the hiring process, including candidate screening, background checks, drug screenings, and onboarding.
  • Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Ensure new employees receive a consistent and effective onboarding experience.
Employee Relations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers regarding employee relations, performance, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Assist management in addressing workplace concerns while ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies.
  • Promote positive employee relations and a professional, respectful workplace environment.
  • Provide employee services, counseling, and resources as appropriate.
Training & Development
  • Coordinate employee orientation, onboarding, professional development, and ongoing training programs.
  • Maintain and administer the company’s Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Deliver and coordinate required training for employees through online and in-person programs.
  • Partner with managers to identify employee development and training needs.
  • Support organizational development initiatives designed to improve employee performance and engagement.
  • Assist with the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, compensation, time off, and related HR programs.
  • Help ensure HR programs are administered consistently and accurately.
Compliance & Organizational Development
  • Monitor HR practices for compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with required employment and regulatory reporting.
  • Support organizational development initiatives and company-wide HR programs.
  • Facilitate company committees and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and distribute company-wide employee communications.
  • Promote employee safety, welfare, wellness, and overall workplace well-being.
Management Support

The HR Manager serves as a trusted advisor to company managers and leadership on a broad range of Human Resources matters. This includes providing guidance on employment practices, employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, training, staffing, and compliance.

The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, strong communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
