Job description

The Human Resources department at PWI is dedicated to partnering with management to recruit and retain a highly qualified, diverse staff; facilitate positive employee relations; develop and promote a culture of safety & well-being; and train to enhance employee skills, performance, and job satisfaction.

We create and implement programs to increase organizational effectiveness, design and deliver fair, competitive benefit and compensation programs, and administer payroll services.

Working together in a spirit of continuous improvement and collaboration, the HR team contributes to a progressive and productive work environment that meets the challenges of a changing workforce.

Essential Functions:

  1. Participate in the Premium Waters business as an HR business partner to the local plant and the corporate office, focusing on talent acquisition and retention, safety, health and wellness, employee engagement, and development.
  2. Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve business objectives, productivity, and skill/leadership development within the company.
  3. Talent Acquisition: Increase visibility to current and potential candidates, create local partnerships, and develop opportunities to mitigate talent shortages nationwide.
  4. Development: Identify and develop technical training strategies for PWI, and provide coaching and guidance to managers.
  5. Compensation & Benefits: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop a compensation plan and select benefits aligned with Premium Waters' objectives.
  6. Engagement: Assist management in creating a workplace where employees can reach their potential in a challenging, rewarding, and positive environment.
  7. Health & Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy working environment, protecting employees, the public, and customers from injury or illness resulting from operations.
  8. Administer benefits, workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, safety programs, payroll, attendance, wellness programs, and company policies and procedures.
  9. Maintain a strong internal and external customer service focus.
  10. Demonstrate bias for action, a strong work ethic, and a desire for excellence.
  11. Interface effectively at all organizational levels.
  12. Show passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement.
  13. Exhibit excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  14. Willingness to travel 10-20% within the Midwest region.

Required Qualifications:

Degree in Human Resources or a related field, with preferred certifications such as SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.

Minimum of 5 years HR management experience within a manufacturing facility.

Previous supervisory experience, strong facilitation, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
