Job summary

Majestic Care in Goshen, IN is seeking an HR professional to manage routine onsite HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits communication, and employment compliance. You will collaborate with leadership to oversee recruitment, present benefit plans, and ensure accurate file upkeep.

You will handle I-9 and E-Verify processes, track EEO documentation, and maintain OSHA logs while supporting leave requests and payroll data in the HRIS.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a human resources position
• Long-term care setting experience preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the leadership team to oversee recruiting and onboarding for the assigned community
• Review and present benefit plans to care team members
• Explain benefit plan changes, care team member options, and the enrollment and de-enrollment process
• Follow up with newly hired care team members using reports received from the company health insurance broker
• Maintain Care Team Member files to ensure compliance
• Complete the I-9 and/or E-Verify processes
• Track and review EEO documentation and personnel files
• Maintain OSHA 300 Log and recordable events
• Assist the Executive Director and managers with incident investigations
• Coordinate with the Regional HR Director on complex incidents
• Respond to unemployment claims and related matters
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
• Serve as liaison for leave requests and related documentation
• Coordinate payroll-related HRIS updates for care team member data
• Provide guidance on HR questions and issues
• Possibly administer routine tasks including accommodations and terminations

Job description

Join Majestic Care of Goshen to manage routine HR operations onsite in Goshen, IN, ensuring recruiting, onboarding, benefits communication, and employment compliance are handled accurately and consistently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the leadership team to oversee recruiting and onboarding for the assigned community
• Review and present benefit plans to care team members
• Explain benefit plan changes, care team member options, and the enrollment and de-enrollment process
• Follow up with newly hired care team members using reports received from the company health insurance broker
• Ensure appropriate communication and benefits materials are provided when a care team member experiences a status change
• Maintain overall compliance through accurate upkeep of Care Team Member files
• Complete the I-9 and/or E-Verify process
• Confirm new hires complete required forms for their personnel file and track EEO documentation
• Track and monitor the OSHA 300 Log and recordable events
• Assist the Executive Director and other managers with investigating work-related incidents
• Partner with the Regional HR Director on complex, loss time, and recordable incidents
• Respond promptly to unemployment claims and related matters, and/or participate as required
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Serve as a liaison between care team members and the Regional HR Director for leave requests
• Ensure appropriate documentation is submitted for review, eligibility determination, and tracking departures and returns from leave, including benefits and PTO
• Coordinate with the Payroll Specialist to ensure the HRIS contains correct care team member information
• Provide support and guidance on complex, specialized, and sensitive HR questions and issues
• May administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, including providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and supporting terminations
