Job summary

Sub-Zero Group, Inc. is seeking an HR Leader to oversee two manufacturing sites, partnering with operations to drive people strategies and business results. You will manage labor relations, recruitment, coaching, and policy implementation, ensuring compliant and ethical HR practices across the plants.

You will lead a team, shape culture, and support leadership through policy development and governance in a family-owned environment known for quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Human Resources or related field.
• 3+ years of union experience.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• 10+ years of HR experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Excellent written, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR for two manufacturing sites and partner with operational leaders.
• Develop and execute full-cycle recruitment plans for hourly and salaried staff.
• Cultivate positive labor and employee relations for union and non-union teams.
• Coach leaders on company policies and federal/state regulations.
• Lead HR team in line with Sub-Zero Group leadership principles.

Primary Responsibilities

Leads the HR function for two manufacturing sites by partnering with operational leaders to drive business results through human capital strategy, employee engagement, talent acquisition, labor relations, leadership coaching, policy development, and people leadership. Acts as a member of the plant leadership team.

• Partner with manufacturing team to develop and execute human capital strategies to deliver business results at two manufacturing sites.
• Build a strong culture within each plant by working with the manufacturing team and hourly team members to ensure that employees feel valued and engaged.
• Develop, implement, and support strategic full cycle recruitment plans for hourly and salaried workforce.
• Partner with manufacturing team to cultivate positive labor and employee relations for union and non-team members.
• Coach and influence leaders and team members on company policies and practices, as well as applicable federal and state regulations to ensure fair and consistent delivery of human resource services.
• Lead team of HR team members in accordance with Sub-Zero Group leadership principles.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Contributes to a cooperative, team environment by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related activities as needed and/or requested.

Preferred

Experience with UKG or related HRIS system.
