• Minimum of 7 years in progressive HR roles.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with employment laws and employee relations.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily HR operations and ensure compliant, employee-focused practices.

What You'll Do on a Typical Day

• Lead and oversee daily human resources operations, ensuring consistent, compliant, and employee-focused practices across the organization.
• Supervise, coach, and develop HR team members while providing oversight of employee leave administration, recruiting activities, and HR reporting.
• Partner with leadership to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, corrective actions, and terminations.
• Manage employee relations investigations and concerns, ensuring timely resolution, appropriate documentation, and confidentiality.
• Develop and support employee training, leadership development, and engagement initiatives that encourage professional growth and strengthen company culture.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and technology to increase efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
• Monitor HR trends, analyze key performance metrics, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive human resources experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous HR experience within the trucking, transportation, or logistics industry.
• Experience working with Paycor or a similar HRIS platform.
• Experience supporting HR operations across multiple locations.
• Experience implementing HR process improvements and employee development initiatives.
