Job summary

Buchanan Hauling & Rigging in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a proactive Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. You’ll help connect talented individuals with career opportunities across our growing organization and support the full recruiting process from posting to offer acceptance.

Collaborating with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll build candidate pipelines, coordinate interviews, maintain ATS, and help ensure a positive candidate experience while upholding

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience preferred.
• Experience sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, and conducting phone interviews.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple job openings and competing priorities.
• Comfortable using job boards, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Professional, personable, and committed to providing a positive candidate experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist with HR responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned recruiting activities, from posting job openings through offer acceptance.
• Source qualified candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels.
• Review resumes, conduct phone screenings, and identify qualified candidates for hiring managers.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews while ensuring a positive candidate experience.
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition Partner and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and recruiting priorities.
• Maintain accurate candidate information and recruiting activity in the ATS.
• Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to keep the hiring process moving forward.
• Assist with job postings, recruiting events, career fairs, and building candidate pipelines.
• Support employment offers, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding coordination.
• Assist with new-hire onboarding and employment documentation.
• Provide administrative support for HR projects, employee communications, and recordkeeping.
• Assist with employment verifications and other HR-related tasks.
• Collaborate with the HR team to support department initiatives and ensure consistent processes.
• Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Partner to support recruiting goals and priorities.
• Communicate recruiting progress, candidate updates, and hiring challenges.
• Build positive working relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and HR team members.

What You'll Do
