Job summary

Kane Innovations Inc. in Erie, PA is seeking an experienced HR professional to oversee daily HR operations onsite. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and HRIS, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Experience with payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, and knowledge of employment law.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage employee relations, organizational dynamics, and effective communication.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily HR operations, including employee relations, policy administration, compliance, and the adoption of HR best practices.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding for both hourly and salaried staff.
  • Administer payroll, benefits, leave programs, workers' compensation, unemployment, and HRIS systems.
  • Collaborate with managers on employee relations, investigations, performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, communications, and organizational documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while maintaining accurate personnel records.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment, benefits education, and company events.
  • Support safety initiatives, conduct accident investigations, uphold OSHA compliance, and manage return-to-work programs.
  • Prepare HR reports and maintain employee records to support business operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain consistent HR processes and documentation to ensure uniformity and compliance.
