Short Summary of Job Description:

This is a hands-on generalist role that will support and drive the people function across two locations (Dallas and Frisco, Texas). This role will act as a key business partner, aligning HR initiatives with business goals while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The HR Manager will provide expertise in employee relations, talent management, performance management, organizational development, and compliance. This role may also partner with the Director of People Development on projects that may include other HALL companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, and enforce fair and thoughtful human resources policies and procedures that look out for the best interests of all employees.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Manage HR processes related to compliance, investigations, and documentation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, providing guidance on workplace issues, conflict resolution, and ensuring a supportive, respectful work environment.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and coordinate the recruitment and selection process
  • Manage orientation and onboarding processes including new hire data entry and 30/90-day check ins
  • Coordinate internship program; continually assess and improve the program to meet the needs of the business
  • Work with leadership to identify opportunities for growth, learning, and development, helping to build a high-performance culture.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to support both individual and organizational growth.
  • Process and track LOA’s including FMLA requests
  • Become Texas benefits expert and go-to for employee questions. Assist with annual open enrollment.
  • Support managers in developing and implementing performance management processes, including coaching, feedback, and performance reviews to drive employee development and engagement.
  • Manage offboarding, including exit interviews
  • Ensure online personnel files are updated and accurate
  • Participate with Office Manager and other staff as needed to plan and execute employee events.
  • Foster and encourage inclusive practices in all areas of the business.
  • Other responsibilities as required by the needs of the company.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or High School with 3 of more years of related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or business partner role. PHR/SPHR certification, a plus
  • Experience in a corporate environment and ability to interface with executives and all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel periodically to the Napa Valley, California office
  • High EQ/interpersonal skills to build trust with teammates from all parts of the company
  • Utmost integrity at all times
  • Excellent active listening skills, verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with HR software (Paycom a plus) and working knowledge of MS Office
