The Position:

The Human Resources Manager of Training and Development is an individual contributor role that is part of the Human Resources team and responsible for managing and supporting comprehensive training programs that enhance employee productivity, safety, and professional growth across the organization. This role focuses on coordinating training efforts, equipping employees and departments with tools and resources, and ensuring that training materials are effective and up to date. Reporting to the SVP of HR, the HR Manager of Training and Development will work closely with other departments to align training initiatives with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and best practices.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinate the implementation and delivery of training and development programs across the organization.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating training materials and programs to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Identify gaps in training resources and collaborate with teams to enhance productivity and compliance.
  • Support employees and departments in creating effective training programs by providing templates, tools, and guidance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning by sharing best practices and resources.
  • Develop and manage training calendars, scheduling activities to meet organizational needs.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a course catalog that outlines available training opportunities.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs focused on soft skills, company orientation, and general professional development to support employee growth and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate and enhance non-job-specific courses to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with the company’s values and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to align training programs with HR policies and strategies.
  • Ensure compliance requirements and legal considerations are integrated into training efforts.
  • Support HR-related training initiatives, including compliance and leadership development.
  • Work with department leaders to identify specific training needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and training providers to arrange participation in external programs.
  • Monitor training budgets and track milestones to ensure goals are achieved within financial parameters.
  • Research and recommend innovative training methods, including e-learning and interactive solutions.
  • Assist in evaluating training effectiveness through surveys and reporting tools.
  • Identify and anticipate future training needs based on operational changes or emerging industry trends.
  • Support employees during organizational changes, such as new technology, mergers, or acquisitions.
  • Provide training and tools to support change management initiatives.
Schedule:
  • Standard business hours Monday-Friday
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development, including experience coordinating or managing training initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Human Resources practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present and facilitate training sessions effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and instructional design software.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability in dynamic environments.
