Our client is a rapidly growing organization that is investing heavily in its people and infrastructure. As the company continues to expand, they are looking for an HR Manager to establish and build the HR function, serve as a trusted partner to leadership, and help create the processes and culture needed to support continued growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys building, rather than simply maintaining an established HR environment. The right person will have significant experience supporting salaried employees and employee relations, strong business judgment, and the ability to balance day-to-day execution with longer-term HR initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and leaders, with a primary focus on employee relations and workplace issues.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on performance management, employee concerns, conflict resolution, corrective action, and other employment matters.
- Conduct thoughtful, thorough, and objective workplace investigations.
- Help establish consistent HR policies, practices, and processes as the organization continues to grow.
- Partner with leadership to strengthen employee engagement, culture, and organizational effectiveness.
- Build and implement HR programs related to performance management, employee engagement, culture, and succession planning.
- Support the development and optimization of HR technology and processes, including opportunities to expand the use of existing HRIS capabilities.
- Assist with compensation, benefits, payroll, onboarding, and other core HR activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
- Support compliance with applicable employment laws and HR best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and create greater consistency across the organization.
- Serve as a hands-on resource for employees and managers while helping establish the foundation for a growing HR team.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Strong, demonstrated experience in employee relations, particularly supporting salaried/professional employees.
- Experience coaching managers and navigating performance, conflict, investigations, and other employee matters.
- A practical, hands-on approach to HR with the ability to move comfortably between strategy and execution.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing organization where processes and infrastructure are still being built.
- Experience with HRIS platforms; ADP experience is a plus, particularly experience building or implementing additional HR functionality.
- SHRM or other HR certification is preferred but not required.
- Spanish/English bilingual ability is highly desirable but not required.
Why This Opportunity?
This is more than an HR Manager role within an established HR department. You will have the opportunity to help build the department from the ground up.
As the organization continues to add employees and scale its operations, this person will have the opportunity to:
- Build the HR infrastructure and processes needed to support significant growth.
- Have a direct impact on culture, employee engagement, and the employee experience.
- Partner closely with leadership and influence how HR evolves within the organization.
- Expand the HR function and take on increasing responsibility as the company grows.
- Position themselves for future advancement as the organization and HR function mature.
This opportunity is ideal for an HR professional who is ready for more ownership and visibility, but who still enjoys being close to the business and working directly with employees and leaders.
