What You’ll do

The Human Resources Lead supports HR functions at their location, ensuring a positive work environment while complying with company policies and legal requirements. Responsibilities include staffing, record keeping, benefits administration, and training coordination.

  • Promote positive associate relations through effective communication and a supportive work culture.
  • Communicate professionally, empathetically, and enthusiastically to create a positive experience.
  • Review applications, conduct phone screenings, and coordinate interviews and onboarding.
  • Participate in community events to enhance hiring efforts.
  • Maintain accurate associate records and assist with benefits and training sessions.
  • Support performance management and serve as a point of contact for associates.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts and disciplinary issues, adhering to policies and legal standards.
  • Partner with HR and store management on policies and initiatives.
  • Maintain communication, safety programs, confidentiality, and office supplies.
  • Participate in cross-training and provide professional support to others.
  • Uphold Rural King’s core values: People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualities for Success
  • At least 2 years of HR experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability.
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Lift, push, or pull at least 30 pounds regularly, 31-50 pounds occasionally.
  • Navigate all facilities and communicate effectively.
  • Close vision for computer work.
