Job summary

Charter Manufacturing is seeking a Human Resources Intern in Cleveland, OH to gain hands-on experience across onboarding, HR reporting, compliance, and employee communications. The program includes part-time hours during the academic year and full-time hours in the summer, with a start date in May 2027 and year-round duration.

You will build communication and organizational skills while supporting day-to-day HR operations and strategic initiatives within a family-owned manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Human Resources Management or related field with Sophomore status
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills to assist employees with questions
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to succeed in a team environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• HRIS experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Support and facilitate new hire onboarding activities to create a positive employee experience
• Maintain accurate HR records and complete audits to ensure data integrity and compliance
• Prepare reports and analyze HR data to support business decisions
• Manage employee communications, announcements, and HR updates
• Provide administrative support for HR meetings, events, and employee programs
• Assist with a variety of HR projects and day-to-day operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams

About the Human Resources Internship:

Gain hands-on experience across key Human Resources functions, including, onboarding, HR reporting, compliance, employee communications, and project coordination. You'll build strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills while supporting day-to-day HR operations and strategic initiatives.

Program structure:

Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer. Location: Cleveland, OH Start Date: May 2027 Duration: Year-round internship

What we're looking for:

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Human Resources Management or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
