Job summary

Wisconsin Steel & Tube Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Intern in Wisconsin to join our team and gain hands-on HR experience while pursuing your degree. You will work directly with our HR team on recruiting, onboarding, and engagement projects.

You'll support recruitment for hourly roles, conduct screenings, assist with onboarding, maintain employee records, and help with HR-related tasks. Flexible scheduling around school is provided.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college program, preferably studying Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Organized and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Eager to learn and take initiative; comfortable interacting with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead recruitment efforts for hourly, shop-floor positions.
• Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews.
• Assist with new-hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Serve as a technical resource by addressing recruitment questions.
• Create and post job openings on various platforms and social channels.
• Organize and maintain employee records in the filing system.
• Assist HR with additional HR-related functions and projects as assigned.
• Manage departmental mail and correspondence.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.

• Assist the Human Resources department with additional HR-related functions and projects, as assigned.
• Manage and respond to departmental mail and correspondence.
• Follow and comply with all safety regulations and work rules and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
