GFL Environmental Inc. in Kalkaska, Michigan seeks an HR Generalist to support HR policy implementation and day-to-day operations across local sites. You will advise managers on employee relations, compliance with labor laws, and HR procedures to align with company objectives.
Responsibilities include administering HR programs, contributing to performance management, handling disputes, and supporting labor relations efforts while traveling to sites as needed.
The Human Resources Generalist serves as the key front line resource for HR policy implementation and operational support. This role involves close collaboration with local management to ensure organizational objectives align with established HR protocols. The HR Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day support of operations, employee relations, adherence to labor laws and internal policies, procedures, and benefit programs.
Operating under the guidance of senior HR team member, the individual will
perform a balance of administrative tasks while providing support for assigned client groups
regarding interpretation and adherence to established HR processes alongside supporting the
effective conclusion of employee relations and legal matters.
Expected to identify areas for improvement and may participate in special projects as
assigned, using internal policies and processes.
