LDRM, a joint venture of Lockwood Hills Federal (an Akima company) and DTSV, is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to support the Kentucky Consular Center in Williamsburg, KY. This is a customer-service oriented role within a union environment, operating in a fast-paced HR team.

The position requires handling onboarding, PONs, leave and ADA/LOA coordination, policy guidance, exits, and government-contract support with strong communication and compliance expectations.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Experience using a variety of online recruitment tools.
  • Knowledge of EEO, ADA, and OFCCP requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience.
  • Decisive ability to shift priorities in a fast-paced work culture.
  • Strong understanding of recruiting in government/proposal environments and unions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret clearance.
  • Pre-employment background investigation including credit and criminal checks.

  • Provide HR guidance to supervisors and managers supporting a government customer.

Job description

LDRM is searching for a Human Resource Generalist to support the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) in Williamsburg, KY. This position is customer service focused within a union environment. It is a great opportunity for someone driven in Human Resources with a strong desire to support employees and a background with generalist duties. This position requires professionalism in Human Resources and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment as part of an HR team.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure onboarding process is complete for new hires and in compliance with company guidelines
  • Submit and review Personnel Action Notices. Coordination with HR Manager, Payroll and Operations Manager where needed to ensure that pay and status changes are conducted timely
  • Maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations while meeting contractual requirements and obligations
  • Respond to employee and customer questions and concerns regarding the understanding and application of Lockwood Hills policies as part of LDRM (a Joint Venture of 2 companies)
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding the understanding and application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
  • Prepares termination documents in support of involuntary terminations; gathers and prepares all documentation needed
  • Manage the leave process and ensure proper coordination/communication on any FMLA and Leave of Absence (LOA) requests. Work with employees to answer any questions they may have regarding their leave requests and necessary documentation. Make recommendations/determinations on ADA requests in conjunction with HR Operations and Operations Management
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about company policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing employees and ensure proper exit information (pay, benefits, security clearance, as examples) is provided. Develop mitigation strategies to reduce turnover
  • Assist HR Manager on any projects, as assigned
  • Provide Human Resources guidance and support to supervisors as well as managers supporting a government customer
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Experience using a variety of online recruitment tools
  • Knowledge of EEO, ADA, and OFCCP requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience
  • Decisive ability to shift priorities and function effectively in a dynamic fast paced work culture
  • Strong understanding of the recruiting aspects involved in the Government proposal environment as well as with unions
  • Strong work ethic is a must
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision is essential
  • Government contracting experience is a plus
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation, including credit and criminal checks
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret clearance
