Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and people-focused HR Generalist to support human resources operations at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). This role is a key partner to operations leadership and employees, bridging strategic HR initiatives with day-to-day execution. As a trusted advisor, you will drive HR programs, ensure compliance, support employee relations, and contribute to a positive and engaging workplace culture across one or multiple operational units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to operations leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns
  • Support the implementation and administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives
  • Conduct employee investigations, counseling, and exit interviews with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Analyze HR metrics (turnover, staffing levels, compensation trends, etc.) to support workforce planning and decision-making
  • Collaborate with recruiting teams to source, screen, hire, and onboard talent
  • Deliver new hire orientation and training programs aligned with corporate standards
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, company policies, and (where applicable) collective bargaining agreements
  • Act as a resource for employees regarding benefits, compensation, scheduling, policies, and HR processes
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems (e.g., PeopleSoft)
  • Support audits and ensure adherence to airport/landlord policies and operational requirements
  • Partner on HR projects and initiatives at the branch, regional, or organizational level
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of HR Generalist or Recruiting experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements
  • Experience in employee relations, investigations, and performance management
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with confidentiality and sound judgment
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting HR data and metrics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in HR systems and tools (e.g., PeopleSoft, HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office)
  • SHRM certification or working toward certification is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Full-time position, On-Site
  • Must have open availability, including weekdays, weekends, and varied shifts
  • Based onsite at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
  • Occasional regional or national travel may be required
