Job summary

Hoffmaster is seeking an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive human resources support for plant employees through the administration of HR programs, policies, and procedures. This role serves as a key employee resource, supporting employee engagement, benefits administration, leave management, payroll-related activities, compliance, and employee recordkeeping.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • 2+ years of experience in human resources; experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
  • Experience working with Dayforce or other HRIS is a plus.
  • Must be self-motivated with outstanding decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational and good time management skills.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary HR contact for employees and direct them to appropriate resources.
  • Administer and support a broad range of HR programs and services, including talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate and administer leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and short-term and long-term disability programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with company policies and reporting requirements.
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions and maintain accurate personnel records, including recruiting, onboarding, attendance, leave, and paid time off information.
  • Generate, analyze, and maintain reports related to payroll, employee incentives, benefits, attendance, and other HR metrics.
  • Participate in HR projects, audits, process improvement initiatives, and other activities that support business and organizational objectives.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

About the Role

How You Will Make an Impact
