Job summary

Adient US LLC in Normal, IL is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations in a manufacturing environment. You will serve as a key resource for employees and leaders, handling employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, payroll, and HR programs while promoting a positive workplace culture.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, at least 2 years of HR experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and personnel systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions and support.
• Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective actions.
• Support recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer processing.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientations, and employment documentation.
• Maintain employee records and process personnel actions, including hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
• Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, leave administration, and employee inquiries.
• Support payroll processing, timekeeping audits, and attendance tracking.
• Partner with leaders on performance management, coaching, and employee development initiatives.
• Track HR metrics and support engagement, retention, and continuous improvement programs.
• Coordinate employee events, recognition activities, and plant engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and business information.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $75,000

Schedule

2nd Split Shift (Monday-Friday), 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
