The Human Resources Generalist role at South Carolina DDSN supports HR operations for the TTC Boeing Project, partnering with internal teams to strengthen recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Human Resources, this position also functions as a liaison between the department and the HR office while helping maintain consistent, fair, and accurate HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage human resource functions with an emphasis on compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support across recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, classification and compensation, and performance management.
- Interpret and apply federal and state laws, regulations, and institutional policies that govern human resources practices.
- Use independent decision-making while collaborating with the TTC HR team to ensure alignment with established procedures.
- Conduct and facilitate program New Employee Orientation and assist with onboarding to support a positive employee experience.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to applicable laws and standards.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and external partners.
- Analyze complex situations, exercise sound judgment, and make recommendations and/or decisions within delegated authority.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing environment.
- Support HR projects, audits, and process improvements to enhance operational integrity and organizational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or an associate degree in Human Resources or a related field supplemented by relevant work experience.
- Candidates currently enrolled in a related degree program may be considered based on education and relevant experience.

Compensation and Location
- Location: Charleston County, SC (onsite)
- Salary: USD 33,280 - 62,000 per year

- Sound judgment in analyzing situations and making recommendations and/or decisions within delegated authority.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information professionally and with discretion.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant experience coordinating and managing HR functions in a government or manufacturing/production setting; flexibility to support first and second shift operations as required.
- SHRM Certification.
- 3-5 years HR generalist experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
