Job summary

Averro is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a labor relations focus in Seattle, WA. This onsite contract role requires handling HRIS change management, leaves of absence, and employee relations in both union and non-union settings.

Responsibilities include processing HRIS transactions in Dayforce and ADP, administering leaves, advising on performance and coaching, and updating policies and training materials. Onsite role with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in labor relations/HR leadership across union and non-union environments
• Dayforce and ADP experience required
• Working knowledge of ADA, ADEA, EEO/Affirmative Action, FMLA, FLSA, and OSHA

Responsibilities

• Process HRIS change transactions (pay changes, transfers, retirements, terminations) in Dayforce and ADP per company guidelines
• Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, workers’ compensation, company leaves), determining eligibility and entering payroll data
• Partner with HR leadership on employee relations, grievances, coaching, and performance management in union and non-union settings
• Develop and deliver manager/employee training; update HR policies, forms, and processes
• Support HRIS, timekeeping, leave, and applicant tracking system maintenance and testing

Job Title: Human Resources Generalist (Labor Relations)

Location: Seattle, WA – Onsite

Pay Rate: $50–$55/hr

Employment Type: Contract with potential to extend or convert

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a shipping and logistics organization which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in HRIS change management, leaves of absence, and employee relations looking to further their career in labor relations and HR operations.

• Process HRIS change transactions (pay changes, transfers, retirements, terminations) in Dayforce and ADP per company guidelines
• Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, workers’ compensation, company leaves), determining eligibility and entering payroll data
• Partner with HR leadership on employee relations, grievances, coaching, and performance management in union and non-union settings
• Develop and deliver manager/employee training; update HR policies, forms, and processes

Essential Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in labor relations/HR leadership across union and non-union environments; bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field preferred
• Dayforce and ADP experience required
• Working knowledge of ADA, ADEA, EEO/Affirmative Action, FMLA, FLSA, and OSHA

Bonus Qualifications

• Shipping, logistics, or transportation industry experience
