Job summary

The Sacramento LGBT Community Center is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of a 40+ FTE organization.

You will administer recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, performance management, policy guidance, compliance, training, and leave administration, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The role will be based in Sacramento with limited remote work after six months of on-site performance.

STATUS: Full-Time; Regular; Exempt

COMPENSATION: Annual Salary $72,000-$77,000 depending on experience and certifications

JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of Center by administering a wide range of HR programs and services. This position serves as a resource to employees and managers regarding recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, policy interpretation, compliance, training, and leave administration. The HR Generalist is responsible for executing human resources strategies in support of the Center's mission, vision, values, and culture while ensuring adherence to employment laws, organizational policies, and best practices.

This position is the Center’s sole HR professional and acts as a liaison between managers and employees on all human resources-related matters, facilitates key communications, and leads or facilitates ongoing human resources-related day to day functions and activities for 40+ FTE organization.
