About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to a busy Human Resources department within a large, mission-driven healthcare organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys working with employees, handling confidential information, managing multiple priorities, and providing exceptional customer service.
What You' ll Do
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources department.
- Facilitate new-hire Welcome Orientations on a biweekly basis.
- Greet and assist employees, visitors, and guests in a professional manner.
- Answer high-volume phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain accurate electronic and personnel files, including scanning, formatting, and converting documents to PDF.
- Support HR audits, compliance activities, and personnel recordkeeping.
- Follow up on performance improvement plan action items.
- Assist with tracking and maintaining required employee training and certifications.
- Perform HR-related data entry and submit information electronically as needed.
- Complete employment verifications.
- Create employee identification badges and maintain related records.
- Track and distribute office/site keys.
- Schedule conference rooms and assist with administrative coordination.
- Open, scan, distribute mail, and order business cards.
- Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other HR materials.
- Assist with employee recognition initiatives and special projects.
- Support the Chief of Human Resources and Director of Human Resources with additional projects and assignments.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable HR policies, employment regulations, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Previous Human Resources experience preferred; approximately 6 months or more is ideal.
- Experience handling high-volume phone calls.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in stressful situations.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database software.
- Comfortable using standard office equipment.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound professional judgment.
- Ability to type approximately 45 words per minute.
- Strong problem-solving and active-listening skills.
- Professional, positive demeanor when interacting with employees, management, and the public.
- Ability to work in a healthcare/clinic environment and follow applicable safety and infection-control procedures.
