Job summary

Reading Truck Group is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with HR peers and leadership in Reading, PA. The role covers Employee Relations, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Compensation, and Compliance to support company initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in HR, preferably in manufacturing, with strong HR policy knowledge and excellent communication skills. The position includes onboarding, training, and HRIS responsibilities to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of related HR experience.
• Manufacturing industry background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR peers and managers to administer responsibilities in Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, and Compliance.
• Provide coaching and counseling to team members.
• Coordinate onboarding/orientation for new hires and timely paperwork.
• Facilitate training and development to support production goals.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate reports.
• Communicate HR policies and government regulations to staff.
• Support performance management and corrective action tracking.
• Assist with unemployment hearings when necessary.

How You Will Make an Impact

Partners with Human Resources team and organizational leadership to support the implementation of HR and company initiatives. Provides support in the functional areas of Human Resources including but not limited to Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Compensation, Talent Management, and Compliance.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Partners with HR peers and Managers to administer and coordinate responsibilities in the following functional areas (Based on Experience and Need): Employee Relations, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Talent Assessment & Succession Planning, Training, Performance Management, Policy implementation & Administration, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Aff…
• Provides general coaching and counseling to team members
• Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs
• Oversees and administer all aspects of team member onboarding and orientation process, including but not limited to processing of new hire paperwork
• Facilitates and/or provide learning and development (training) to the workforce
• Organizes, assess and track employee training by partnering with operations team to support company production goals
• Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals
• Assists in the administration of performance management
• Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed
• Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports
• Partners with team members and management to ensure compliance and communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations
• Coaches and counsels leadership teams on appropriate corrective actions, as well as tracking of corrective action for consistency and implementation
• Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data, and makes recommendations leadership
• Responsible for representing the company at unemployment hearings, when necessary

Experience:

• At least 3 years of related Human Resources experience
• Manufacturing industry or background preferred
