Job summary

Extension, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a direct-hire opportunity with a manufacturing client in Port Washington, WI.

The role focuses on full-cycle recruiting, employee relations, and building strong relationships with supervisors and managers to improve the employee experience. You will partner with hiring managers to source candidates, conduct interviews, support investigations, and help drive HR initiatives such as safety and engagement programs in a fast-paced production

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong recruiting experience using Indeed/LinkedIn.
• Experience with HR documentation and employee relations.
• ADP experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and sound judgment; coachable and independent.
• Bachelor's or master's degree is a plus.

Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for a variety of positions, with a strong focus on manufacturing and skilled trades.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies, source candidates, and coordinate interviews through the offer process.
• Support employee relations, including attendance coaching, workplace investigations, documentation, and difficult conversations.
• Build relationships with technical schools, community organizations, and other talent pipelines.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives, HR compliance, workplace safety, and workers' compensation claims.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• 2–3 years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong recruiting experience, including sourcing through Indeed, LinkedIn, or similar platforms.
• Experience with HR documentation, employee relations, and handling sensitive conversations is preferred.
• ADP experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt.
• A coachable, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
• Consistent work history and a demonstrated commitment to previous employers.
• A bachelor's degree or master's degree is a plus and may qualify candidates for compensation above the standard range.

Salary Information

• $55k - $75k/hour
