The Human Resources Generalist role at Douron, Inc. supports end-to-end HR operations, including employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, HR administration, compliance, and recruiting. This position is onsite in Owings Mills, Maryland and also manages full-cycle hiring in partnership with hiring managers.
Role Overview
As an HR Generalist, you will help ensure smooth HR processes across the employee lifecycle. The role includes maintaining accurate HR records, supporting performance management and engagement initiatives, assisting with HR reporting and audits, and coordinating recruiting activities from job posting through offer and onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new-hire onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Assist with employee relations and respond to employee questions about HR policies and procedures
- Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and other administrative responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
- Support special HR projects and initiatives as needed
- Manage full-cycle recruitment from job posting through offer and onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions
- Source, screen, and interview qualified candidates
- Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates
- Conduct reference and background checks as required
- Prepare and extend employment offers
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated openings
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of directly applicable experience as an HR Generalist involved in all aspects of HR
- Strong knowledge of recruiting practices and employment processes
- Excellent communication, interviewing, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple open positions and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/Applicant Tracking Systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Working knowledge of Maryland employment laws and HR best practices
- Knowledge of Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, DC, and/or Delaware employment laws is a plus

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR (plus, not required)
