JobSummary:
TheHuman Resources Generalist provides comprehensive Human Resources support witha primary focus on the day-to-day administration of team member benefits andleave programs. This position serves as a resource to team members regardingbenefits, leave, retirement programs, HR policies, and works closely with theBenefits Manager and HR leadership to ensure responsive and effective HRservices.
Additional responsibilities include HR operations and HRISadministration, new hire orientation presentations, team member relations, HRreporting and analytics, project coordination, performance management support,and other HR programs and initiatives.
Primary Duties:
Benefitsand Leave Administration
- Supports the day-to-dayadministration of CHC benefit programs and responds to team member questionsregarding benefits, enrollment, eligibility, qualifying life events, andavailable resources.
- Supports FMLA and otherleave programs and closely monitors leaves administered by third-party vendors,including leave status and usage, required documentation, return-to-workactivities, and follow-up with team members and leaders.
- Coordinates Short-Termand Long-Term Disability processes, including communication with team membersand applicable vendors, and verification of eligibility.
- Processes monthlybenefit billing and reconciliations, researches discrepancies, and coordinatescorrections with vendors.
- Participates in annualBenefits Open Enrollment and New Hire Enrollment, including communications,education, and enrollment support.
- Supports retirementplan administration, including team member questions, communications,enrollment, reporting, and coordination with appropriate resources.
- Monitors benefitpremiums and other amounts owed during leaves of absence and coordinatescollection and reconciliation as appropriate.
- Supports ADAaccommodation and interactive process activities as assigned and maintainsappropriate documentation and tracking.
- Assists with Workers'Compensation administration and return-to-work coordination in partnership withthe appropriate departments.
- Supports benefitcommunications, wellness initiatives, and the CHC Team Member Discount program.
HROperations and HRIS
- Maintains team memberrecords in the HRIS, including I-9 management, document accuracy, requiredaudits, and records retention activities.
- Processes HRIS andbadging system requests and maintains accurate documentation in HR systems.
- Coordinates exitinterviews, employment verifications, termination processing, and unemploymentactivities.
- Prepares HRIS reportsand supports performance evaluation tracking, reporting, and follow-up.
- Assists withfacilitating the Human Resources portion of New Hire Orientation, includingbenefit education and information regarding HR programs, policies, andresources.
TeamMember Relations
- Supports HR leadershipwith corrective action and team member relations matters and assists withworkplace investigations as assigned.
- Maintains accurate andconfidential team member relations documentation, case information, and relatedtracking.
HRAnalytics, Projects, and Process Improvement
- Generates and analyzesrecurring and ad hoc HR reports, including turnover, retention, headcount, newhires, terminations, benefit participation, leave activity, and other workforcemeasures.
- Reviews HR data andtrends to identify opportunities, risks, and areas requiring additionalleadership attention.
- Coordinates assigned HRprojects and initiatives, including project plans, timelines, milestones,deliverables, status updates, and stakeholder follow-up.
- Reviews HR processesand workflows and recommends opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy,compliance, and the team member experience.
- Ensures the accuracyand integrity of HR data used for reporting, analysis, and decision-making.
GeneralHR Support
- Assists withdeveloping, reviewing, updating HR policies, procedures, and the Team MemberHandbook.
- Supports team memberengagement, recognition, retention, and other HR initiatives.
- Maintains knowledge ofHR practices, employment law developments, benefit and leave requirements, andworkforce trends.
- Maintainsconfidentiality of team member and organizational information and demonstratessound judgment when handling sensitive matters.
- Performs other relatedduties and special projects as required and assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree inHuman Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required;alternatively, four (4) years of relevant professional experience in benefits,employee relations, human resources, or a related area will be considered.
Experience
- Minimumof four (4) years of Human Resources experience required.
- Experiencesupporting benefit administration, leave programs, and team member benefitquestions required.
- Experiencewith HRIS administration, HR reporting, and data management preferred.
- Experiencesupporting team member relations and HR projects preferred.
- Healthcareexperience preferred.
Certification/Licensure
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or otherHuman Resources or benefits-related certification preferred.
AdditionalRequirements
- Abilityto work flexible hours as needed.
- Abilityto travel to CHC locations as needed.
