Job summary

Oil-Dri Corporation of America in Georgia seeks an HR professional to support daily HR activities at the manufacturing location, partnering with plant leaders and teammates across recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, compliance, engagement, and HR operations.

This high-visibility role helps create a positive work environment while ensuring HR processes are executed consistently and effectively, with opportunities to influence retention and workforce planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum two years HR experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on candidate sourcing, recruiting events, and talent pipeline development
  • Support onboarding, orientation, and new hire integration activities
  • Administer benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations with accurate recordkeeping
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and support reporting
  • Maintain a visible presence on the plant floor and respond to teammate questions
  • Support investigations, disciplinary actions, and teammate relations matters
  • Administer compliance programs, including I-9s and HR postings
  • Manage leave administration (LOA, FMLA, STD)

Work Model

This position is based at an active mine site and requires daily onsite presence. Work conditions may include uneven terrain, climbing ladders, navigating steps, and exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, rain, or mud. Monday - Friday required.

Regular in-person attendance consistent with the Company's established work schedule is an essential function of this position to facilitate effective collaboration, communication, and business operations.

Position Summary

This position supports the daily Human Resources activities at the manufacturing location, partnering with leaders and teammates across recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, compliance, engagement, and HR operations.

The role is highly visible within the plant and serves as a key resource for teammates and supervisors, helping create a positive work environment while ensuring HR processes are executed consistently and effectively.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on candidate sourcing, recruiting events, career fairs, and talent pipeline development
  • Support recruiting efforts for regular and temporary plant positions
  • Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and new hire integration activities
  • Conduct 30/60/90-day check-ins with new teammates and supervisors to support retention and engagement
  • Administer benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations while ensuring accurate recordkeeping
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and support reporting through Dayforce and related systems
  • Maintain a visible presence on the plant floor and respond to teammate questions and concerns
  • Support investigations, disciplinary actions, and teammate relations matters
  • Administer compliance programs, including I-9s, employment law postings, and HR documentation requirements
  • Manage leave administration activities, including LOA, FMLA, and STD processes
  • Support teammate engagement initiatives, special events, communications, and recognition programs
  • Provide guidance to supervisors on interviewing, policy administration, performance management, and career development
  • Partner with Safety and HR leadership on CDL documentation, DOT compliance, and related processes
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing demands
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Service-oriented approach and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated commitment to honesty, integrity, and professionalism
Preferred Experience
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or plant-based Human Resources experience
  • Dayforce HRIS experience
  • Employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, or compliance experience
  • aPHR or similar HR certification preferred
