Flowers Foods, Inc. in Newton, NC is seeking an HR Generalist to support human resources functions, including policies, benefits, safety, compensation, training and employee relations.

Under the direction of the HR Business Partner, you will assist with personnel administration, wage and salary administration, safety, benefits, communications and staffing, with potential for growth toward HRBP roles. A four-year degree in HR or related field is required; a competitive salary and total rewards

• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and MS Office applications.
• Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, attendance management, and HR compliance.

Bringing Home the Dough

Under the direction and guidance of the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), the HR Generalist will receive training in the management of the human resource function including human resource policies and procedures, benefits, safety, compensation, training and development, employee relations and communications. Provides assistance in a staff capacity to the HRBP in implementing personnel and employee relations responsibilities. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• To learn and understand the company's human resources and employee relations policies, procedures and programs.
• Under the direction of the HRBP, assists with company-wide activities of personnel administration, wage and salary administration, management training and development, safety, benefits administration, employee communications, employee activities, staffing, legal compliance and employee relations.
• To develop skills, knowledge and experience of the Human Resources function as applied with Flowers in order to fulfill future positions of HRBP.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, attendance management, and HR compliance.

Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements

A four year degree in Human Resources Management or related field.

Hiring Range - $57,000 - $62,000
