Job summary

LVMH Fashion Group is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our North America HR team. The role focuses on employee relations, policy guidance, and performance management across the region.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner, you will support onboarding, offboarding, and talent acquisition while ensuring compliance with employment laws and maintaining confidential HR records. A retail/luxury environment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • 3-4 years of HR experience, preferably in retail, luxury, or customer-focused environments.
  • Experience supporting employee relations and workplace investigations.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Experience with HRIS and MS Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; high emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.

Job description

LVMH Fashion Group is seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Generalist to join our North America HR team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong employee relations expertise, and is passionate about creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting employees and managers, guiding performance and policy matters, and helping shape an exceptional employee experience across the region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances.
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into workplace issues, including harassment, discrimination, and policy violations, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to employees and managers on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Facilitate mediations and discussions to resolve workplace disputes effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all employee relations cases.
HR Policy & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Educate employees and managers on company policies and legal requirements.
Performance Management:
  • Support managers in addressing performance issues, including drafting performance improvement plans (PIPs) and providing guidance on disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with managers to conduct performance reviews and facilitate goal setting.
Onboarding & Offboarding:
  • Assist with onboarding new employees, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Enact solutions from analytical data to drive team retention and reduce turnover, primarily in the retail department
Talent Acquisition:
  • Support recruitment and talent acquisition processes, partnering with candidates and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless employee experience.
  • Assist with internal transfers, promotions, and employee movement process.
HR Administration:
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Prepare HR-related reports and analytics as needed.
  • Support other HR functions and initiatives as required.
KEYS FOR SUCCESS
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • 3-4 years of human resources experience, preferably within retail, hospitality, luxury, or customer-focused environments.
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000- $95,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
