Job summary

JAC Products in Napoleon, OH is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support daily administration, recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits, payroll, and employee relations at our manufacturing site.

Working with the HR Manager, you will help execute strategic initiatives, maintain HRIS records and attendance data, coordinate contract labor, and ensure a compliant, collaborative workplace focused on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of practical experience in Human Resources
• 2+ years in a manufacturing/automotive setting
• Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management preferred
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

Responsibilities

• Recruit hourly staff including postings, interviews, offers, screenings, background checks, and new hire orientations
• Manage weekly/biweekly payroll processing and changes
• Coordinate contract labor services
• Investigate employee relations issues under HR Manager guidance
• Maintain employee records in HRIS and personnel files
• Administer hourly attendance program for manufacturing facility
• Lead benefits administration, enrollments, changes and inquiries
• Lead FMLA and Short Term Disability management

Job description

JAC Products is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Napoleon, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the overall strategic initiatives of the manufacturing site and the effective execution of daily administrative processes, including recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits, payroll administration, and employee relations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for hourly recruitment including internal postings, interviews, extending offers, preemployment screenings, background checks, and conducting new hire/benefit orientations.
• Manage the weekly/biweekly payroll process by ensuring accuracy of employee schedules and timesheets, and processing payroll changes.
• Responsible for the planning and coordination of contract labor services.
• Resolve employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations at the direction and guidance of the Human Resource Manager.
• Accurately maintain employee records within the HRIS system and employee personnel files.
• Manages, administers, and maintains hourly attendance program for manufacturing facility.
• Lead the administration of all JAC offered benefits, which includes benefit changes, new hire enrollments and employee significant event changes, short-term disability claims, benefit terminations, and benefit inquiries.
• Leads FMLA and Short Term Disability management activities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Four (4) years of practical experience in Human Resources
• Two (2) years in a manufacturing/automotive setting
• Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management preferred
• Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or SHRM-CP preferred
