Job summary

JAC Products in Napoleon, Ohio, seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator to advance our safety culture within a manufacturing setting. You will develop and implement EH&S programs, coordinate training, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations to protect workers and the environment.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s in safety/health, 2+ years of manufacturing EH&S experience, and strong communication alongside ISO 14001 familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field is preferred.
• Internship or practical experience in EH&S is beneficial.
• At least 2 years in safety, environmental, or health in manufacturing.
• Strong communication, MS Office, organization and problem solving required.
• Experience with OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, ISO 14001 desired.
• Experience with incident investigations and audit responses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EH&S programs and trainings to meet regulations.
• Identify hazards and implement action plans to reduce injuries.
• Manage ISO 14001 system, audits, and environmental projects.
• Prepare internal and external EH&S reports and data distribution.

Job description

JAC Products has an opportunity for an Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team in Napoleon, Ohio.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement EH&S written programs and trainings to comply with all applicable regulations
• Identify and analyze occupational hazards, implementing action plans to prevent and reduce the frequency of injuries and exposures
• Manage ISO 14001 system, all internal and external audits, and environmental-based annual projects
• Complete required HSE reporting, both internal and external, including documentation and distribution of data to appropriate personnel

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from accredited college preferred
• Recent Internship experience in Environmental, Health or Safety
• At least 2 or more years of safety, environmental or health experience in a manufacturing facility
• Strong communication skills, MS Office skills, organizational and problem solving skills are required
• Demonstrated experience in OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, ISO 14001
• Experience and knowledge of Accident/Incident response and investigations
• Experience with internal and external ISO audits and audit responses
