Job summary

WinChoice is seeking an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across payroll, benefits, onboarding, training and compliance. The role demands a self-starter with five years of HR experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and handles multiple responsibilities with professionalism and discretion.

Key duties include payroll administration (Paylocity a strong plus), benefits management, onboarding/offboarding, records maintenance, employee relations and compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration – Process weekly payroll accurately and on time (Paylocity experience a strong plus).
  • Benefits Administration – Manage employee benefits programs, enrollments, changes, terminations, inquiries.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding – Coordinate onboarding, orientation and data setup; manage termination processes in compliance with policy.
  • File & Data Management – Maintain organized personnel records, physical and digital.
  • Employee Relations – Provide guidance and resolution to HR-related questions.
  • Compliance – Ensure HR practices comply with laws and company policy.
  • HR Department Support – Assist with projects, audits, reporting and initiatives.
  • Internal Customer Service – Deliver professional and solution-oriented service to employees.

Job description

The HR Generalist position provides comprehensive HR support across payroll, benefits, employee relations, onboarding, training and compliance — all while delivering exceptional internal customer service to our employees and leaders.

This position requires a self-starter with five years of HR experience, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle a wide variety of responsibilities with professionalism, patience, approachability and discretion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Administration – Process weekly payroll accurately and on time (experience with Paylocity a strong plus).
  • Benefits Administration – Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee inquiries.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding – Coordinate all aspects of new hire onboarding, including electronic and physical data, orientation, and file setup; manage termination processes in compliance with company policy.
  • File & Data Management – Maintain organized and compliant personnel records, both physical and digital.
  • Employee Relations – Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, providing guidance and resolution to HR-related questions and concerns.
  • Compliance – Ensure all HR practices comply with company policies and federal, state, and local laws.
  • HR Department Support – Assist with projects, audits, reporting, and other initiatives to support company goals.
  • Internal Customer Service – Deliver timely, professional, friendly and solution-oriented service to all employees.
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience across multiple functional areas.
  • Strong payroll processing experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative, approachable style.
  • High level of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Paylocity experience a plus.
Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience across multiple functional areas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent).
