Job summary

Prime Group is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations across the full employee lifecycle in Marathon, FL. This role requires a 4 year degree and 5+ years HR experience, along with HR certifications.

The Generalist will handle daily HR operations, maintain records, enforce policies, and provide support to the Sr. HR Director. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Paycom payroll and HRIS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and staffing: source candidates, interview, support hiring managers.
• New hire onboarding: complete paperwork, background checks, orientation.
• Employee offboarding: processing terminations, system removal, DOR reporting.
• HR compliance: ensure legal compliance, maintain records, track changes.
• HR policies: develop, implement, update policies for consistency and compliance.
• Data management: maintain HR databases, generate reports, audit HR data.
• Payroll processing: semi-monthly payroll for 4 groups using Paycom.
• Employee relations: resolve conflicts, investigations, guidance on policies.
• Performance management: assist appraisals and feedback.
• Training and development: coordinate programs and needs.
• Benefits administration: manage programs and inquiries, compliance.
• Employee engagement: implement engagement initiatives and culture.

Prime Group is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to support our HR function across recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations.

Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will support the HR function within the organization by performing the daily functions of the Human Resources department, including recruiting efforts, maintaining employment records, benefits administration, enforcing company policies and practices, addressing employee queries, and providing general support to the Sr. Human Resources Director. The Human Resources Generalist will contribute to the overall success of the organization by managing various aspects of the employee lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Recruiting and staffing: Source candidates, conduct interviews, and assist with selection; partner with hiring managers
• New hire onboarding: Complete paperwork, background checks, drug screening, and eligibility verifications; lead orientation
• Employee offboarding: Process terminations, system removal, and Department of Revenue reporting
• HR compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws, maintain HR records, and track legislative changes
• HR policies and procedures: Develop, implement, and update policies for consistency and compliance across the organization
• Data management: Maintain HR databases, generate reports, analyze HR metrics, and perform periodic HR audits as needed
• Payroll processing: Complete semi-monthly payroll for 4 payroll groups using Paycom payroll software
• Employee relations: Resolve conflicts, conduct investigations, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
• Performance management: Assist with appraisals, provide employee feedback, and address performance issues
• Training and development: Coordinate training programs, identify training needs, and support employee development
• Benefits administration: Manage benefits programs, answer benefit inquiries, and ensure regulatory compliance
• Employee engagement: Implement initiatives to foster engagement, morale, and a positive work culture
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in a human resources role
• Professional HR certification required (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and HRIS platforms
• Experience with Paycom payroll and HR software a plus
• Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
• Proficient in data entry and management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects, with strong follow-through
• Ability to complete projects timely and accurately
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines
