Confidential Company in a manufacturing environment seeks an HR professional to support payroll, employee records, benefits, and leave programs. You will partner with employees, supervisors, and vendors to ensure compliance with policies and employment regulations.

Responsibilities include weekly payroll processing, timekeeping audits, investigations, and benefits enrollment, with emphasis on accuracy, discretion, and clear communications across multi-state locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR or related field.
  • Experience in HR, payroll, or employee services.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping systems.
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Administer employee pay changes, including promotions, transfers, and annual compensation adjustments.

  • Assist with payroll-related reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Support managers and employees with workplace concerns and employee relations matters.
  • Facilitate investigations and assist with corrective action processes, terminations, and policy administration.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and documentation.
  • Provide guidance regarding company policies and HR procedures.
  • Administer leave programs (FMLA and other company policies) and benefits enrollment.

Job description

We are seeking an HR professional to support employee-related programs and payroll administration for a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, managing employee records, supporting benefits and leave programs, and providing guidance on employee relations matters. The successful candidate will partner closely with employees, supervisors, and external vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Timekeeping
  • Process weekly payroll for hourly employees and ensure timely, accurate compensation.
  • Review payroll data, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections when necessary.
  • Administer employee pay changes, including promotions, transfers, and annual compensation adjustments.
  • Oversee timekeeping and attendance records, including audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with payroll-related reporting and compliance requirements.
Employee Relations & HR Support
  • Support managers and employees with workplace concerns and employee relations matters.
  • Facilitate investigations and assist with corrective action processes, terminations, and policy administration.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and documentation.
  • Provide guidance regarding company policies and HR procedures.
Benefits, Leave & Risk Management
  • Administer leave programs, including FMLA and other company-sponsored leave policies.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and ongoing benefit inquiries.
  • Support annual benefits enrollment initiatives and employee communications.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims and serve as a liaison between employees and claim administrators.
  • Assist with unemployment-related documentation and claim management as needed.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Support compliance initiatives and maintain adherence to established controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure HR and payroll practices consistently meet federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in human resources, payroll, employee services, or a related field.
  • Experience using HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
  • Experience working with ADP Workforce Now and workforce management systems.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar).
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll practices, including Pennsylvania payroll regulations.
  • Familiarity with unemployment claim administration.
  • Understanding of workers' compensation processes and requirements.
