Job description

In this position, you will manage the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. This includes: full-cycle recruiting, maintain personnel records, track attendance and discipline, performance evaluation, process payroll, benefits enrollments, enforcement of company policies, and legal compliance.

DUTIES:

• Work with the GM and Assistant Production Manager to staff the organization. This includes posting positions internally and externally, sourcing and interviewing candidates, hiring, and onboarding.
• Manage temporary staffing through temporary services, expressing needs/expectations and tracking hours.
• Maintain electronic personnel records in HRIS system, including wages, attendance, vacations, terminations, etc.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
• Objectively assist employees to resolve issues.
• Accurately process payroll, including all deductions and garnishments.
• Administer employee benefits program, including health, dental, life, COBRA, short term disability, long term disability, AFLAC, 401k plan, and uniforms.
• Organize and conduct annual Open Enrollment.
• Enroll new hires in benefits, and cancel benefits for terminated employees.
• Audit bills for accuracy and submit for payment.
• Recommend revisions to employee handbook and company policies.
• Assist in training of employees for various functions
• Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Act as a liaison between top management, managers / supervisors to keep personnel informed on matters of communications, decisions, changes and policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field is preferred. A combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience desired.
• Manufacturing plant experience is highly desired.
• SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
• HRIS experience is preferred.
